Shopping on Maui

The amazing views, great Maui weather and a little retail therapy make shopping on Maui the perfect way to pass a day (or two!), with many shopping centers, galleries and countless gift shops.

 

Whalers Village

Whalers Village offers everything from slippers (flip flops) to designer handbags. Right on Kaanapali Beach, and 2 doors down from Kaanapali Alii, this shopping center has over 90 shops and restaurants to choose from. It’s also the home of the Whalers Village Museum, which features artifacts from Lahaina’s whaling days.

Lahaina Cannery Mall

Just off Honoapiilani Highway in Lahaina Town, Lahaina Cannery Mall was formerly a fully operational pineapple cannery. There are many specialty stores in the mall as well as Long’s Drugs and Safeway, which is open 24 hours.

Front Street

Lahaina's Front Street is lined with art galleries, shopping centers, restaurants, specialty shops and souvenir stores. Take a break from all the shopping and explore several historical and cultural sites, such as the Banyan Tree, Baldwin House and more.

 

The Shops at 505

Located at the southernmost end of Lahaina Town and definitely worth the short stroll. The shopping village is set on the beach and offers galleries, shops, a day spa and award winning restaurants.

Queen Kaahumanu Center

Queen Kaahumanu Center is a 10 minute drive from the airport and offers more than 100 shops and restaurants, including Macy’s, Sears, American Eagle and many others that visitors will recognize from the Mainland. But this is no ordinary mall, with its open air concept and a little local flavor thrown in here and there, you will definitely know that you are shopping on Maui.

Paia Town

Paia Town is located on the north side of Maui and are perfect for shoppers who are looking for unusual, exotic and unique souvenirs to take home. There are many shops offering merchandise that is often unavailable elsewhere on Maui or on the Mainland.

 

Makawao Town

Makawao Town is of Hawaii’s last Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy) towns, is not just for tourists – you will mingle with the locals here amongst the many shops, art galleries, craft shops and restaurants. 

 

Shops at Wailea 

The Shops at Wailea is an upscale, open-air complex featuring more than 70 shops and restaurants, including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Gap, Banana Republic and much more. Enjoy the shopping experience even more on Wednesday nights, when the Shops at Wailea offers free entertainment.
