Hawaiian Airlines Announces San Jose – Maui Flights

Hawaiian Airlines has announced the expansion of its Bay Area service to Maui with the company’s first-ever nonstop flights from San Jose, three days weekly, starting January 2012.

Glen Taniguchi, Hawaiian’s senior vice president of marketing and sales, stated “We know how popular Maui is for South Bay residents so our new nonstop service from San José will let them make the most of their vacation, while relaxing with the best, most enjoyable inflight experience offered to Hawaii.  Our special low introductory fares make this a particularly good time to save money and plan that winter vacation to Maui.”

San José – Maui Schedule

Starting January 10, 2012, flights will depart San José on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 8:10 a.m., arriving in Maui at 11:45 a.m.  Departures from Maui’s Kahului Airport will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 1:25 p.m. and arrives at Mineta San José International Airport at 8:25 p.m.

Special Introductory Fares

To celebrate the launch of its San José – Maui service, Hawaiian is offering a special introductory roundtrip fare of $298.40 (plus applicable fees) for travel between January 10 and March 14, 2012.  Tickets must be purchased by September 14, 2011.

Hawaiian Airlines Now Selling Tokyo To Hawaii

Hawaiian Airlines is now selling tickets for its daily nonstop flights between Tokyo’s Haneda Airport and Honolulu, which will begin in November.

It will make its inaugural flight from Honolulu to Haneda on November 17, 2010 and its inaugural departure from Haneda to Honolulu on November 19, 2010.

Hawaiian Airlines Announces San Diego to Maui Flights

Non-stop flights between Maui and San Diego have made a comeback on Hawaiian Airlines!

Flights between Maui and San Diego were suspended in 2008, but on Friday, Hawaiian announced their return, effective immediately.

“We’re very pleased to again be offering the convenience of nonstop flights between San Diego and Maui and are supporting this service with some great airfares that will help stimulate demand for Maui’s visitor industry,” said Glenn Taniguchi, Hawaiian’s senior vice president for marketing and sales.

Alaska Airlines Announces Seasonal Flights

Alaska Airlines announced it will add a nonstop daily flight between Kahului, Maui and San Diego, California starting October 1, 2010.

Alaska Airlines scheduled more than a dozen routes to Hawaii from Anchorage and West Coast cities including Seattle and San Jose, California, in the past two-and-a-half years.

Hawaiian Moves Up Start Date For Maui Service

Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it is moving up the start date for its new, nonstop daily flight this summer between Oakland and Maui. The service will begin on June 4, 2010, almost two weeks earlier than originally scheduled. The Oakland-Maui flight will operate through September 6, 2010.

Alaska Airlines Announces New Direct Flight To Maui

Alaska Airlines has announced it will begin daily direct service to Maui from Sacramento starting on Friday, March 26, 2010.

Over the past two years, the Seattle-based carrier has scheduled 12 routes to four Hawaiian Islands from cities on the West Coast. And it plans a second daily Seattle-Maui flight beginning in June.

The newest daily flight from Sacramento to Kahului will depart at 8:15 a.m. local time in California and arrive in Maui at 10:50 a.m. Hawaii time. A return flight will leave Maui at 11:15 a.m. and land in Sacramento at 8 p.m.

Alaska Airlines President Brad Tilden will attend a celebration Friday for the first flight leaving Sacramento. A Hawaiian band and dancers, along with a priestess who will perform a blessing ceremony, will be part of the celebration.

New Direct Flights To Maui

Hawaiian Airlines is adding flights to Oakland and San Diego this summer, and this week it announced promotional fares starting at $428 round trip. The new routes go into service June 17, 2010.

The new flight between Oakland and Maui is a first for Hawaiian.  This summer route will operate through Sept. 6, 2010.   Also, on June 17, 2010 Hawaiian will begin service between San Diego and Maui for the first time since summer 2008.
