The wonders of Maui are found almost everywhere you look. The golden sand beaches are always a draw, but the tropical foliage is amazing. Almost everywhere you look, you will see something that you have never seen before. This Chenille Plant (Red Hot Cat’s Tail) can be found throughout the island and especially near the Lahaina and on Kaanapali Beach. http://ow.ly/i/mmSc http://ow.ly/i/mmSs http://ow.ly/i/mmST

As the holidays approach we thought these Money-Saving Holiday Travel Tips from Real Simple may come in handy to make your holiday travels smooth and less expensive. Here are a few we’ve highlighted and you can read the entire article here.
One that can save you money especially if your going to be gone more than a few days is “Don’t Drive Yourself to the Airport.” Here on Maui airport parking prices are $10 per day so if you’re gone 7 days that’s $70.00! Real Simple suggests “Airport parking prices take a steep hike around the holidays (which makes sense, because parking is more in demand). See if a friend can drive you to the airport, call a cab or van, or look into public transportation options. ”
Another great tip is to “Be Smart About Your Suitcase.” We know we have a tendency to over pack which can lead to the overweight baggage fees but Real Simple suggests “Pack lightly, weigh your suitcase before leaving so there aren’t any surprises, and register checked bags online before heading to the airport—they often give you a break in the fees if you sign up online.”

Paradise in Paradise! This is, by far, the best place to stay in Maui!!!! Our unit was on the corner with a panoramic view. The owner spared no expense with all the upgrades from the green marble counter tops, electric blinds, bamboo four poster bed to the high end appliances and seductive lighting that reflected off the marble floors and built in to the coffered ceiling. This unit is very sexy! I would imagine all units have this similar atmosphere. I can tell you that when you walk along the shore, amongst all the other resorts, the Kaanapali Alii is where you want to be. Immaculate, heavenly grounds, simple yet elegant pool, wonderful area for grilling and fabulous staff. Stay here if you can. You won’t want to leave!!!
